How To Open Microsoft Edge In Private Mode Windows 10 PC Tutorial

This Windows 10 tutorial will show you how to browse Microsoft Edge in private mode.

Browsing Microsoft Edge in Private Mode is a good idea if you don't want anyone to be able to check your recent history that gets stored locally on your PC.

It is very important to remember that browsing in private does not store browsing info on your PC but it does not hide your browsing history from your school, employer, or Internet service provider.

Please see the below list of what browsing In Private does and doesn't do (taken from Microsoft Edge Browser):

What In Private Browsing does:
  • Deletes your browsing info when you close all In Private windows
  • Saves favourites and downloads (but not download history)
  • Prevents Microsoft Bing searches from being associated with you

What In Private Browsing doesn't do
  • Hide your browsing from your school, employer, or Internet service provider
  • Give you additional protection from tracking by default
  • Add additional protection to what's available in normal browsing

To Browse Microsoft Edge In Private:

1. Open Microsoft Edge > Click on the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner > Click on New InPrivate window (A new window should now open and you will be able to browse in private)
