Allow Device Drivers To Download Over Metered Connection In Windows 10

In this post, we will be taking a look at how you can allow Windows 10 to download drivers, apps, and information about your devices and Bluetooth over a metered connection.

So basically, if you are currently using a restricted connection then Windows 10 will not automatically download the drivers for your devices, which means they might not work without the drivers.

So you can enable downloads over metered connections to get around this, or you could just download the drivers manually from the manufacturer’s website. We have listed the steps below for allowing Windows 10 to download device drivers over metered connections.

Metered Connection Download Bluetooth & Other Devices Drivers:

1. Right-click the start menu > Click “Settings” > Now click “Devices

2. Click the “Bluetooth & other devices” tab in the left menu

3. You will now see a setting that says “Download over metered connections” > Tick the box

There you have it that is how you can allow your PC or Laptop to download device drivers automatically on a metered connection. Check out more Windows 10 posts here.
