Kaspersky Antivirus is a security program developed by Kaspersky Lab. It is designed to provide protection against viruses, malware, ransomware, and other nasty digital threats. With its advanced detection and removal capabilities, Kaspersky Antivirus helps keep your Windows systems safe and secure.

Anyway, that’s enough about Kaspersky Antivirus now let’s take a look at how you can fix Kaspersky not working on your Windows PC or Laptop.

How to fix Kaspersky not working

Fix 1: Restart Windows

The first and easiest thing to do is restart Windows, something within the operating system may have stopped responding, which is then causing Kasperky to not open and stop working so restarting will give Windows a refresh.

Fix 2: Update Windows

Make sure you have the latest updates installed for Windows this can help resolve many issues.

Right-click the start menu and go to Settings

Click on Update and Security and Check for updates or Windows Update for Windows 11 then Check for updates

Windows Update check for updates button in Windows 11.

Fix 3: Startup programs/services

Right-click the start menu and click Task Manager

Open the Startup tab and ensure Kaspersky is not disabled

Now open the start and search msconfig and ensure Kaspersky is not unticked in the Services tab

Fix4: Conflicting Security

If you have another third-party security program installed on your computer then it could be conflicting with Kasperky stopping it from working, so remove the other security software that you have installed on your Windows PC/Laptop.

Fix 5: Repair/ uninstall

If none of the above methods have helped then the next thing to do is reinstall Kaspery Internet Security this will then force it to install new files, so to do this first remove the program then download and install it again.

Right-click the start menu and select Apps & Features

Search for Kaspersky Internet Security then Click Uninstall

So as you can see there are a few things that can be done to troubleshoot and fix Kaspersky not opening, loading, or crashing on a Windows computer. I hope one of the above methods has helped fix Kaspersky not working on your PC and your computer is secure from nasty threats again.
