Customise Icons!
This Windows 10 tutorial will show you how to change your Documents folder icon and also how to restore it back to default.
If you are customising Windows 10 to look the way you like or are simply bored of the original Windows 10 icons, then you can easily change the icon of the Documents folder.
If you do change your mind or want the original Documents folder icon back, then you can also restore it with ease.
****Top Tip****
If you would like to use your own custom icon for the Documents Folder then you need to save the image you would like to use in a .ico extension using third-party software
To change the Document Folder icon:
1. Open File Explorer > Right Click Documents > Properties > Click on Location Tab > Click on ‘Find Target’
2. Right Click Documents > Properties > Click Customise tab > Click ‘Change Icon’ > Select a new icon for your Documents folder > Press OK > Press Apply > Press OK
To restore the Documents Folder icon to default:
1. Open File Explorer > Right Click Documents > Properties > Click on Location Tab > Click on ‘Find Target’
2. Right Click Documents > Properties > Click Customise tab > Click ‘Change Icon’ > Click on ‘Restore Defaults’ > Press Apply > Press OK
