Customise Icons!
This Windows 10 tutorial will show you how to change your Pictures folder icon and also how to restore it back to default.
If you are customising Windows 10 to look the way you like or are simply bored of the original Windows 10 icons, then you can easily change the icon of the Pictures folder.
If you do change your mind or want the original Pictures folder icon back, then you can also restore it with ease.
****Top Tip****
If you would like to use your own custom icon for the Pictures Folder then you need to save the image you would like to use in a .ico extension using third-party software
To change the Pictures Folder icon:
1. Open File Explorer > Right Click Pictures > Properties > Click on Location Tab > Click on ‘Find Target’
2. Right Click Picturess > Properties > Click Customise tab > Click ‘Change Icon’ > Select a new icon for your Pictures folder > Press OK > Press Apply > Press OK
To restore the Pictures Folder icon to default:
1. Open File Explorer > Right Click Pictures > Properties > Click on Location Tab > Click on ‘Find Target’
2. Right Click Pictures > Properties > Click Customise tab > Click ‘Change Icon’ > Click on ‘Restore Defaults’ > Press Apply > Press OK
