Create Bootable USB or CD With Rufus

If you need to revert back to an older version of Windows or you need the installation on a bootable device then you will want to give a program called Rufus a try.

By downloading this handy program on your Windows 10 PC you can download an older version of Windows 10 onto a CD or create a bootable USB, with minimal time and effort.

To Download an older version of Windows 10:

1. Click on the following link to download Rufus > Click on Rufus 3.13 portable > Press Save File

2. Run Setup File > Press Yes

3. Put in Your USB or CD and choose the correct one under ‘Boot selection’ > Press drop-down arrow next to ‘select’ and change to download > Click on download

4. Select your Version of Windows > Press continue > Select edition > Press continue (it will now make a copy on your USB or disk)

Top Tip
If you don’t have the download button in Rufus available then you need to click on application settings and change the updates to daily. You will need to close the program and then open Rufus again and the download button should appear
