How to use Popular Website Presets

Popular Website Presets make it quicker to block common websites without typing each website address manually.

Instead of adding sites one by one, you can choose a preset such as Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X / Twitter or Reddit, then Blocker Web will add the related website domains to your blocked list.

Popular Website Presets are ready-made blocking options for commonly used websites and platforms.

They are useful if you want to quickly block distracting websites, social media platforms or time-wasting sites.

For example, selecting a YouTube preset may add more than one related domain to your blocked list, because some platforms use multiple website addresses to load videos, images or other content.

How to block a website using a preset

Open Blocker Web.

Go to the Blocked URLs tab.

Scroll to Popular Website Presets.

Find the website you want to block.

Click the Block button next to that preset.

The selected website preset will be added to your blocked URLs list.

If manual URL blocking is turned on, the website will be blocked straight away. If manual URL blocking is turned off, the website will be added to the list but will not be blocked until blocking is enabled.

You can also select more than one preset before blocking them.

Tick the checkbox next to each preset you want to block.

Click Block Selected.

Blocker Web will add the selected presets to your blocked URLs list.

The number shown on the Block Selected button tells you how many presets are currently selected.

Why does one preset add more than one website?

Many popular platforms use more than one domain.

For example, a website may use separate domains for images, videos, login pages, mobile pages or shared content.

Because of this, Blocker Web may add several related domains when you choose a preset. This helps make the block more effective than adding only the main website address.

If a website from the preset is already in your blocked list, Blocker Web will skip the duplicate entry.

This helps keep your blocked list clean and prevents the same website being added more than once.

Can I remove a preset later?

Yes. Presets simply add websites to your normal blocked URLs list.

To remove one later, go to the blocked URLs table and click the delete icon next to the website you want to remove.
