Below we have listed the methods that will hopefully fix Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Nintendo Switch issues such as crashing on launch and getting stuck on the loading screen or in menus.
Fix 1: Turn off the Switch
When was the last time you turned off your Nintendo Switch fully, instead of putting it in sleep mode? Shut down your Switch for 60 seconds then turn it on again and see if that resolves the issue you are having.
Fix 2: Check Switch updates
If your Nintendo Switch is not running the latest version then this could be the reason you are having issues with Mario Kart 8 not working:

- Software update > Via the internet
Fix 4: Dock/undock
If you are trying to play the game while your Switch is docked then try it undocked. And if you are playing undocked then try using the dock station. Then you can figure out if the issue is related to the Dock or not being docked.
Fix 5: Reinsert the game card
The game card might not be inserted correctly so remove it then reinsert it. This only applies if you have the game card version of the game and not digital.
