Mario+ Rabbids Sparks Of Hope Crashing On Switch

The latest Mario Rabbids game is here, and I couldn’t wait to play it! I loved Kingdom Battle, especially taking turns to beat the enemies and choosing the best tactical moves. But are you having issues with Mario Rabbids’s sparks of hope crashing and not loading on your Switch?

Bought to us by Ubisoft, the next Rabbids game is still available to us on Switch. So it’s great fun being able to team up with the Rabbids and play as Mario and work your way through the levels.

But it’s no fun if Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope keeps getting stuck on the loading screen, or keeps crashing to your home screen.

How to fix Mario Rabbids Sparks Of Hope not working on Switch

Whether your Mario Rabbids game is crashing on startup, or just won’t load, there is usually a good explanation. So I have listed different methods for you to try to hopefully fix the issue you are having in Sparks of Hope on your Nintendo Switch console.

Fix 1: Restart

If the game has crashed mid-game or has frozen on the menus, then give your Switch a quick restart to see if it was a one-time thing.

Fix 2: Update game

If you have the same issue and Mario Rabbids keeps crashing then check for any game updates. The latest patch could have a fix for your issue:

  • Find the Mario Rabbids Sparks Of Hope icon on your Switch Home Screen
  • Press the + button on your Joy-Con controller > Now select Software update
  • Next click on Via the internet
Nintendo Switch checking for game updates

Fix 3: Update switch

Check for updates on your switch as this can help fix issues with games and also improve the performance of your console:

  • Go to your Nintendo Switch home screen
  • Now open the System Settings then go to System
  • Next select System Update and install any updates that are available to you
Nintendo Switch System Ssettings selecting System Update

Fix 4: Clear user cache

If you have cache files stored that are corrupted, then this could be why the game is not working properly:

  • Go to your Nintendo Switch home screen
  • Now open System settings and go to System
  • Next select Formatting Options and click on Clear cache
  • Select your Nintendo Switch user Profile and then Reset
Nintendo Switch clear cache option

Fix 5: Check for corrupted files

Same as above, but if any of the game files are corrupted or missing then this will cause problems:

  • First go to your Nintendo Switch home screen
  • Now go to System settings and then open Data management
  • Go to Software > Click on Mario Rabbids Sparks Of Hope
  • Click on Check for corrupted data
Nintendo Switch Check for corrupted data

Fix 6: User

Try switching users to see if there is an issue just with a specific user on your switch.

Fix 7: Game card

If using a game card rather than a digital version of the game then try removing it and then reinserting it again. Also, make sure there is no dust on the card.

Fix 8: Reinstall

If none of the above methods helped then the next thing to try is reinstalling the game on your Switch. If you did have it installed to a MicroSD then try installing the game to the internal storage on your Nintendo Switch.

I hope the above helped fixed Mario Rabbids not working on your Switch and you can now get back to playing the game and completing those levels
