Open Blocker Web using the desktop shortcut, Windows Start menu, or the folder where the program was installed.

The first time you open Blocker Web, you will see a short notice explaining that the program uses built-in Windows features to block websites.

Blocker Web will also attempt to create a backup of your current Windows hosts file. This gives you an easy way to restore the file later from the Settings section if needed.

Understand the Main Areas

The menu on the left gives you access to the main Blocker Web features.

  1. Open the Blocked Websites section.
  2. Click Add Website.
  3. Enter the website domain.
  4. Select a reason for blocking it.

https://www.facebook.com/login

Turn Website Blocking On

After adding the website, check the website-blocking switch.

When the status displays ON, the websites in your list are blocked.

When the status displays OFF, the websites remain saved but are temporarily accessible.

This means you can pause blocking at any time without rebuilding your list.

Test the Website

Open your web browser and try visiting the website you added.

The website should no longer load normally.

Depending on your browser and settings, you may see a standard browser message or the optional Blocker Web custom page.

Search Your Website List

Use the search box above the blocked websites list to quickly find a saved domain.

You only need to enter part of the website name.

For example:

face

facebook.com

Clear the search box to display the full list again.

Remove a Website

To permanently remove a website:

  1. Select it in the blocked websites list.
  2. Click Remove.

The website will be removed from the list and from the entries managed by Blocker Web.

Use the main blocking switch instead when you only want to allow the website temporarily.
