Virtual Memory Let Windows 10 Manage It

In this post, we will be showing you how to set Windows 10 to manage its own virtual memory which is stored on your hard drive as a paging file.

It’s a lot easier to allow Windows 10 to adjust the paging file size, as if you set the value incorrectly then you could upset Windows 10 and cause problems with your programs and games. See below how to let windows 10 adjust your paging file.

Let Windows 10 Adjust Paging File:

1. Open the start menu and search “Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows” then open it

2. Now click the “Advanced” tab

3. Under “Virtual memory” click the “Change” button

4. Now tick “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives” then click “OK

There you have it that is how you can make Windows 10 set the paging file size automatically, to save you from the headache of working out what size would be ideal for your system! Check out more of our Windows 10 posts here.
