How to remove a game from Easy Gamer Utility
You can remove a game from the Easy Gamer Utility launch list when you no longer want it to appear there.
Removing a game from Easy Gamer Utility does not uninstall the game from your computer.
It only removes the saved shortcut to the game’s .exe file from Easy Gamer Utility.
How to remove a game from Easy Gamer Utility

Follow these steps:
- Open Easy Gamer Utility.
- Click Launch at the top of the window.
- Make sure Game Launching is selected.
- Click the game you want to remove from the list.
- Make sure the game is highlighted.
- Click Remove Game.
- Click Save Settings.
- Close and reopen Easy Gamer Utility to check that the game has been removed.
The game should no longer appear in the Game Launching list.
Why do I need to select the game first?
The Remove Game button removes the currently selected item.
Before clicking it, click the game path inside the large list.
The selected game should be highlighted.
If no game is selected, clicking Remove Game may appear to do nothing.
Why should I click Save Settings?

Clicking Remove Game takes the game out of the list currently shown on screen.
Clicking Save Settings updates the Easy Gamer Utility settings file with the new list.
If you close the program without saving, the removed game may appear again the next time Easy Gamer Utility opens.
Always click Save Settings after:
- Adding a game
- Removing a game
- Changing the launch priority
- Changing the Windows startup game
- Changing another Game Launching option
Does Remove Game uninstall the game?
No.
The Remove Game button does not uninstall anything.
It does not remove the game from:
- Steam
- Epic Games Launcher
- EA App
- Ubisoft Connect
- Battle.net
- Xbox app
- Microsoft Store
- Windows
The game remains installed in its original location.
You can continue launching it from its normal desktop shortcut or game launcher.
Does Remove Game delete the game files?

Easy Gamer Utility only removes the saved game path from its own launch list.
It does not delete:
- The game’s
.exefile - Installation files
- Downloaded content
- Mods
- Screenshots
- Configuration files
- Saved progress
Your game files remain in the same folder.
Will removing a game delete my saved progress?
No.
Your saved progress is separate from the Easy Gamer Utility launch list.
Removing a game from the list does not remove local or cloud save data.
Your progress should still be available when you start the game normally.
Will removing a game affect Steam or another launcher?

Easy Gamer Utility does not remove the game from its original launcher.
For example, removing a Steam game from Easy Gamer Utility will not remove it from your Steam Library.
You can still open Steam and launch the game normally.
What if the game starts with Windows?
Easy Gamer Utility Pro can be set to launch a selected game when Windows starts.
Before removing that game, you should either:
- Turn off the Windows startup option, or
- Select a different game to start with Windows
To turn it off:
- Open Launch > Game Launching.
- Untick Start game on Windows startup.
- Remove the game from the list.
- Click Save Settings.
This prevents Easy Gamer Utility from trying to launch a game path that is no longer in the list.
How to select a different Windows startup game
To replace the game that starts with Windows:
- Open Launch > Game Launching.
- Make sure Start game on Windows startup is ticked.
- Click the new game in the list.
- Check that the new game is shown as the selected game.
- Click Save Settings.
- Remove the old game if you no longer need it.
- Click Save Settings again.
The newly selected game should now be used when Windows starts.
Why is the removed game still showing?
First, make sure you clicked Save Settings after removing it.
Try these steps:
- Return to Launch > Game Launching.
- Select the game again.
- Click Remove Game.
- Click Save Settings.
- Close Easy Gamer Utility completely.
- Open it again.
If the game returns, Easy Gamer Utility may not have been able to update its settings file.
The removed game still appears in the system tray
Games added to Easy Gamer Utility may also appear in its Windows system tray menu.
The old game shortcut may remain in the current system tray menu until Easy Gamer Utility is restarted.
To refresh it:
- Click Save Settings.
- Close Easy Gamer Utility completely using the X button.
- Make sure its icon disappears from the Windows system tray.
- Open Easy Gamer Utility again.
- Check the system tray menu.
The removed game should no longer be loaded from the saved game list.
Easy Gamer Utility is only minimised
Clicking the minimise button may hide Easy Gamer Utility instead of closing it.
If you need to fully restart the program:
- Open Easy Gamer Utility.
- Click the X in the top-right corner.
- Check the system tray near the Windows clock.
- Make sure the Easy Gamer Utility icon is gone.
- Open Easy Gamer Utility again.
This reloads the saved launch list.
Remove Game does nothing
If the button appears not to work:
- Click the game inside the list.
- Make sure the full path is highlighted.
- Click Remove Game again.
- Check whether the entry disappears.
- Click Save Settings.
If the list is empty, there is nothing available to remove.
Can I remove more than one game?
Yes.
Remove each game separately:
- Select the first game.
- Click Remove Game.
- Select the next game.
- Click Remove Game again.
- Continue until you have removed the unwanted entries.
- Click Save Settings once you are finished.
Check each selected path carefully so you do not remove the wrong entry.
Can I add the game again later?
Yes.
Removing an entry does not block the game from being added again.
To add it back:
- Open Launch > Game Launching.
- Click Browse.
- Find the game’s main
.exefile. - Click Open.
- Click Add Game.
- Click Save Settings.
The game will return to the launch list.
What if the game was moved to another drive?
If you moved or reinstalled the game, the old Easy Gamer Utility entry may point to a file that no longer exists.
Remove the old entry and add the new one:
- Select the old game path.
- Click Remove Game.
- Click Browse.
- Find the game in its new location.
- Select the correct
.exefile. - Click Add Game.
- Click Save Settings.
Easy Gamer Utility will then use the new file location.
What if the game was uninstalled?
Easy Gamer Utility may still display the old saved path after the game has been uninstalled.
The launch entry is not automatically removed when a launcher uninstalls the game.
To clear it:
- Open Launch > Game Launching.
- Select the old game path.
- Click Remove Game.
- Click Save Settings.
This removes the broken shortcut from Easy Gamer Utility.

Removing from Easy Gamer Utility
- Removes the game from the Easy Gamer Utility launch list
- Does not free storage space
- Does not delete game files

Uninstalling the game

- Is normally done through Steam or another launcher

- Does not necessarily remove the Easy Gamer Utility shortcut automatically
Use Remove Game when you only want to tidy the Easy Gamer Utility list.
Use the original launcher when you want to uninstall the complete game.
How to uninstall a game properly
Use the launcher that installed the game.
For a Steam game:
- Open Steam.
- Click Library.
- Right-click the game.
- Select Manage.
- Click Uninstall.
- Confirm the removal.
Other launchers have a similar uninstall option in their game library.
After uninstalling, remove the old entry from Easy Gamer Utility if it is still shown.
Removing a game in simple terms
Open Easy Gamer Utility and go to Launch > Game Launching.
Click the game you want to remove, make sure it is highlighted and then click Remove Game.
Click Save Settings so that the entry stays removed after Easy Gamer Utility is restarted.
