Change WiFi Frequency Band On PS5
In this post, we will be showing you how you can change the WiFi frequency of your PlayStation 5.
There are a few reasons why you would want to do this. Using 2.4GHz is great if your Playstation 5 is quite far away from the router like the other side of the house. However, it is slower than 5GHz so if your PS5 is close to the router then you will want to use 5GHz for better speed results.
So 2.4GHz is great for long range but not as fast connection speed, but 5GHz has faster connection speeds but is not good for long range.
We suggest you try both options and see what works best for your Playstation 5.
How To Change the PS5 WIFI Frequency:
1. Click on the Settings cog in the top right of the Home Screen and go to Settings
2. Select Network > Select Settings
3. Select “Set up internet connection” > Press the options button (3 lines) on your PS5 controller
4. Select “Wi-fi frequency bands” > Choose 2.4ghz or 5ghz
