Activating Easy System Utility PRO unlocks the complete set of cleaning, repair, bulk processing and Windows maintenance tools included with your licence.

Before beginning, make sure you have:

• Easy System Utility installed on your Windows PC
• An active internet connection
• The email address used for the purchase
• Your Easy System Utility or ComputerSluggish Pro+ product key

The program needs an internet connection so it can check that the product key and purchase email are valid.

Make sure you enter the same email address that was used during checkout. Using a different email address may cause the activation check to fail, even when the product key itself is correct.

How to activate Easy System Utility PRO

To activate the software:

1. Open Easy System Utility.
2. Select Settings from the left-hand menu.
3. Open the Activate PRO section.
4. Enter the email address used when purchasing the licence.

ComputerSluggish Pro+

ComputerSluggish Pro+ includes PRO access to Easy System Utility and the other supported ComputerSluggish programs included with the plan.

Enter the email address and Pro+ product key in the same activation area. Easy System Utility will check whether the subscription is active before unlocking the software.

If a Pro+ subscription has ended or cannot be verified, the PRO features may no longer remain active.

After a successful activation, the previously locked PRO controls become available.

You need an internet connection while activating the software. After activation, Easy System Utility may occasionally need to check the licence again.

A firewall, VPN, proxy or security program can sometimes interrupt this connection.

What to do if the product key is not accepted

If Easy System Utility does not accept the key, check the information carefully before trying again.

Check the purchase email address

The email address must match the one connected to the licence.

Look at the original receipt or product key email and enter the address exactly as shown. Check for spelling mistakes, missing characters or an accidentally added space.

Copy the product key again

Copy the product key directly from the email and paste it into the activation box.

Make sure you have not copied:

• A space before the key
• A space after the key
• A full stop from the end of a sentence
• Part of another line
• The order or payment reference instead of the product key

A checkout reference, receipt number or payment ID is not normally the same as the software product key.

Check your internet connection

Open a website in your browser to confirm that the computer is connected to the internet.

When the connection is working but activation still fails, temporarily disconnect from any VPN or proxy and try again.

Restart Easy System Utility

Close the program fully and open it again.

If Easy System Utility is minimised to the Windows system tray, right-click its tray icon and close it before reopening the program.

Run Easy System Utility as an administrator

Administrator permission is not normally required simply to enter a product key, but it can help if Windows is preventing the program from saving the activation information.

Select Start ESU as administrator from the left-hand menu, approve the Windows prompt and try the activation again.

Check your security software

A firewall or security program may be blocking Easy System Utility from contacting the activation service.

Make sure Easy System Utility is allowed to access the internet. Only change a security setting when you are confident the installed program came from the official ComputerSluggish website or Microsoft Store.

What if your ComputerSluggish Pro+ key has stopped working?

A ComputerSluggish Pro+ key depends on the subscription remaining active.

Check whether:

• The subscription is still active
• The latest payment completed successfully
• The correct purchase email is being entered
• The key belongs to the correct ComputerSluggish account
• The computer is connected to the internet

When a subscription is cancelled, the PRO features remain available until the paid period ends. After that point, Easy System Utility returns to the free version unless another valid licence is activated.

Your saved settings are not the same as a licence, so losing PRO access does not normally remove your cleaning selections or other program preferences.

Do you need to activate PRO again after updating?

A normal Easy System Utility update should keep your activation.

The licence information is stored separately from the main program files, so installing a newer version should not require a new product key.

If Easy System Utility opens in Free mode after an update:

1. Confirm that the computer is online.
2. Close and reopen Easy System Utility.
3. Open Settings and select Activate PRO.
4. Enter the original email address and product key again.

Do not purchase another licence simply because the software temporarily appears in Free mode.

Do you need to activate again after reinstalling Windows?

Reinstalling Windows removes installed programs and their locally stored settings, so Easy System Utility will usually need to be installed and activated again.

Download the latest version, open the Activate PRO section and enter your existing purchase details.

The same may apply after moving Easy System Utility to a different computer or replacing a major part of the PC.

Your licence may have a limit on how many devices it can be activated on. If an old computer is no longer being used but the licence reports that the activation limit has been reached, contact ComputerSluggish support with your purchase details.

What happens if you reinstall Easy System Utility?

Removing and reinstalling Easy System Utility does not cancel or delete your purchased licence.

After reinstalling:

1. Open Easy System Utility.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select Activate PRO.
4. Enter the purchase email address.
5. Enter the original product key.
6. Select Activate Product Key.

Your licence is linked to your purchase details rather than the installer itself.

Some locally saved settings may need to be configured again if their files were removed during the uninstall or Windows reinstall.

Keep your licence details safe

Keep a copy of your purchase email and product key somewhere secure.

Avoid sharing the key publicly or sending it to people who are not authorised to use your licence. Unusual or excessive activation attempts can cause a product key to be temporarily restricted.

When contacting support about activation, provide the purchase email address and a description of the error. Do not post the complete product key in a public comment, forum or screenshot.
