View Files Or Folders That Are Hidden In On Your Windows 10 PC Or Laptop

By default some files and folders within Windows 10 are hidden.

The reason behind this is that the files are not normally ones users would touch or need to see, so they are hidden from your view.

Keeping these files hidden makes some of the folders in File Explorer less cluttered. It will also stop you from accidentally deleting any important files that are needed on your Windows 10 PC.

If you need to access one of these hidden files or folders then this can easily be done.

Another reason you may want to view hidden files is if you have previously hidden a file or folder and want to view it again at a later date.

How to show hidden files & folders:

1. Open File Explorer

2. Click “View” > Click on Options

3. Select the View tab > Scroll down until you find Hidden Files and Folders > Make sure ‘Show hidden files, folders and drives’ is selected > Press Apply > Press OK (You will now be able to view your hidden files and folders)
