Move Bookmarks From Another PC Or Web Browser

If you are a regular user of Internet Explorer then you will probably have a lot of your favourite websites and web pages saved and bookmarked.

If you want to transfer your favourites over to a new PC, or perhaps you want to get all of your old bookmarks from a different web browser then you can easily import and export bookmarks in Internet Explorer.

Importing and exporting bookmarks will save you having to search for all of your saved pages again, on your Windows 10 PC or laptop.

To Export your Internet Explorer bookmarks:

1. Open Internet Explorer > Click on the star in the top right-hand corner > Click on the little drop-down arrow next to ‘Add To Favourites’ > Click on ‘Import and Export’

2. A Pop-up window will appear > Select Export to a file > Press ‘Next’ > Select ‘Favourites’ > Choose which favourites you would like to export/save > Press Export > Finish

To Import your Internet Explorer bookmarks:

1. Open Internet Explorer > Click on the star in the top right-hand corner > Click on the little drop-down arrow next to ‘Add To Favourites’ > Click on ‘Import and Export’

2. A pop up window will appear > Select Import from a file > Press ‘Next’ > Select ‘Favourites’ > Choose which file you would like to Import > Press Import > Finish
