In this Windows 10 post, we will be taking a look at resolving the issue of not being able to uninstall certain programs through Apps and Features on your Windows 10 PC or laptop.

There can be a few reasons why the uninstall button is greyed out, but it’s most likely because the program you are trying to uninstall is old and needs to be removed a different way. We have listed how this can be done below.

Remove Program That Has A Greyed Out Uninstall Button:

1. Open start menu and search “Control panel” and open it

2. Now change View by to “Small icons” > Click “Programs and Features

3. Find the program you were unable to uninstall and select it

4. At the top click either Uninstall, Change, or Repair (depending on which options you have) > Then one of these options should allow you to uninstall the program

There you have it that’s how you uninstall programs in Windows 10 when the uninstall button is greyed out in Apps & Features. If you are still unable to uninstall the program then you could go to the programs install folder then you might find a uninstall.exe that you can run to remove the program.
