Delete Files Immediately

This Windows 10 tutorial will show you how to stop deleted files going to your recycle bin on your PC or laptop.

You can actually remove the recycle bin from Windows 10, meaning if you delete a file instead of it normally going into the recycle bin it will just be immediately deleted.

This is great as it means you don’t have to always empty your recycle bin, but it can also be bad if you accidentally deleted a file and wanted to restore it.

****Top Tip****
You can always instantly delete a file without it going into the recycle bin by holding shift then pressing del on the file.

To stop deleted files going to your recycle bin in Windows 10:

1. Right-click the recycle bin > Properties

2. Select “Don’t move files to the recycle bin. Remove files immediately when deleted”
