Display FPS Counter In Fortnite On Xbox Or Playstation

When playing Fortnite on consoles such as an Xbox or PlayStation, then you may have come across the issue of the game lagging, game stutter, or even slow loading textures. This could be caused by your frame rate dropping within Fortnite.

FPS is a count of how many frames per second you are getting when playing, so it is always worth keeping an eye on it, especially if you are having any issues with the game. Luckily there is a setting within Fortnite that allows you to show an FPS counter on your screen.

If you discover that you are getting a very low FPS when playing Fortnite, then you may need to adjust a couple of graphical settings to increase the value and make sure the game and your console are up to date.

Show The FPS Counter In Fortnite On Xbox Or Playstation:

1. Launch Fortnite > Once you have launched the game you then need to open the Settings Menu (Menu button on Xbox, Start button on Playstation)

2. Go Across to the Video tab at the top of the screen > Scroll down until you find Show FPS > Turn this option ON > Return back to the main lobby

Go ahead and join into a game and you will now notice an FPS counter in the corner of your screen. This will show you how many frames per second you are currently getting in Fortnite, on your Xbox or Playstation. The higher the number, the smoother and better the game will be running.
