Fix Horizon Forbidden West crashes

In this guide, we will be taking a look at how to fix Horizon Forbidden West crashing on PS5 & PS4. The latest Horizon game is finally available to play on the PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5! So you can now explore the massive post-apocalyptic open world, and see what technology there is to discover. As great as Forbidden West is, there are still times when the game will be crashing, giving errors, and not loading on your Console.

This is the second game so if you missed out and did not play Horizon Zero Dawn which was released back in 2017, we would definitely recommend you play that first as it’s just as brilliant!

So that now brings us to why we are on this guide, and that is to hopefully fix what is causing Hzd Forbidden West to not launch, not load, and keep crashing on your PS4 or PS5. Below we have listed a few different things you can do that will hopefully get you back playing the Horizon Forbidden West game on your PlayStation in no time.

Why does Horizon Forbidden West keep crashing PS5/PS4?

There can be many different reasons why Horizon Forbidden West is not working on your PS4 or PS5. The game may not launch at all, it may keep crashing to your home screen, or you have issues with it getting stuck on the loading screen.

It could be as simple as not having enough disk space, which just like any other device or computer can wreak havoc. Or another cause could be that your PlayStation does not have the latest update installed, or something has become corrupted.

What If The Methods Don’t Work?

If you are still unable to play Horizon Forbidden West on your PlayStation then the next thing we would suggest is to try creating another user profile just in case it is a problem with your profile. And if all else fails then you might want to think about restoring your PlayStation back to default settings.
