Splatoon 3 Local Multiplayer.

In this article, we will be taking a look at if you can play local multiplayer in Splatoon 3. This very fun game lets you run around getting as much of the area covered in ink and take out the other players with your ink gun online or in single player. But the one question is, can you play local multiplayer split screen in Splatoon 3?

Splatoon 3 is a game that is very addictive and you just want to keep playing game after game. There are plenty of various different game modes such as Regular battles, Salmon run, Turf War, etc. The aim of the game is to beat the other team or players while dodging, shooting ink, and also turning into a squid to swim through the ink!

You can play one of the fun game modes alone in single-player, or team up with others in online multiplayer, which can get quite crazy at times. There will literally be ink flying everywhere!

Is there Splatoon 3 local multiplayer on Switch?

All this is great fun however, if you want your friends to join in the game with you in a bit of local split-screen multiplayer then you may need to wait. Unfortunately, at the time of writing this, no Splatoon 3 does not have local split-screen co-op multiplayer available and this might never happen.

So you won’t be able to sit back with your friends and play split screen or local multiplayer on the same device or Switch.

However, the game does have local multiplayer support if your friend also has a copy of the Splatoon 3 game and their own Nintendo Switch console. That way you can team up and connect with them to beat the other players.

We hope the above helped explain what Splatoon 3 local multiplayer offers you, and that you can’t play with a friend in split-screen multiplayer, but you can play on separate consoles.

That doesn’t mean that this feature won’t be added in the future. So let’s just keep our fingers crossed that it will be added one day, in this awesome action-packed game.
